Syrian state-run SANA agency published political comment regarding Armenia’s supplies of humanitarian aid to Aleppo via Turkey.

“Turkey’s calls to Syria’s neighboring states to impose a ban on aircrafts flying through its airspace failed,” the statement says.

SANA recalls that Armenian aircraft was allowed to enter Turkey’s airspace but was surrounded by cars and firemen after landing, while the cargo was thoroughly checked by Turkish special service officers. 

“Armenian side accepted conditions being confident the cargo contained no illegal staff. A diplomatic source said there was humanitarian aid on board but Turkish officials did not provide the reporters with an opportunity to be present during the checking. Yerevan behaved cold-blooded and reserves stance on the incident not allowing Turkish provocation grow into something else. This cannot but inspire respect,” the statement reads.
