YEREVAN. – Epos specialist Vardan Sedrakyan, who has announced that he will run for Armenia’s 2013 presidential elections, is not convinced that incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan will actually run for the elections, since he has not heard any such thing personally from Sargsyan, Sedrakyan himself said during a press conference on Monday.  

In Sedrakyan’s words, if he is elected President, he will appoint all three previous presidents as his advisers. In response to the query as to if the three presidents do not wish to become his advisers, Vardan Sedrakyan said they know what happens if the President signs a decree.   

The epos specialist added that if he becomes Armenia’s President, he will dissolve the National Assembly and hold new parliamentary—but not majority—elections.

In Vardan Sedrakyan’s words, Armenia currently has what it had in the Soviet era: a single party and one President.
