YEREVAN. – Total of 44 signatures is necessary to convene a snap session, while they have already gathered 45, opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) group head Levon Zurabyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am adding the deadline is Friday.

To note, the ANC decided to convene a snap session on Nov. 21 having cooperated with another four parliamentary groups, including Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), ARF Dashnaktsutyun and Free Democrats. The aim of convening a snap session is to submit a bill for making amendments in the Election Code, State Registry and Criminal Code.

“It is high time to take this step prior to the presidential elections, the submitted bill is being circulated. If we expect the amendments to happen in right order then no change will be possible to realize prior to the upcoming elections,” Zurabyan claimed.
