YEREVAN.- The coalition cooperation with the Republican Party of Armenia is not an obstacle to Orinats Yerkir’s consultations with other forces, head of parliamentary group Heghine Bisharyan told reporters on Friday.

She said the party considers acceptable the format of meetings with Prosperous Armenia. Bisharyan refused to express her opinion on the meeting saying the results will be discussed during the Friday meeting of party’s political council after which Orinats Yerkir will voice its position.  

RPA, Orinats Yerkir and Prosperous Armenia must support candidacy of the incumbent president under the 2011 statement, she recalled.

“We adhere to coalition memorandum,” she emphasized.

Presidential elections are scheduled for February 2013. Back in 2011 RPA, Orinats Yerkir and Prosperous Armenia signed a coalition memorandum pledging support to incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan in the 2013 presidential elections.
