Armenia’s Orinats Yerkir and ARF discuss latter’s proposals

YEREVAN. – Representatives from Armenia’s opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party and coalition government’s junior partner Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party (RLP) met on November 17 at the office of the RLP, its Press Secretary Artur Misakyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

In his words, they discussed the ARF’s seven-point proposal. “We listened to the Dashnaktsutyun’s proposals. An interesting discussion took place. But we will inform about our official positions on these seven points following the RLP’s next political session,” Misakyan said.    

With respect to the query as to whether or not the Prosperous Armenia Party’s proposal—and with respect to passing to a parliamentary system of governance in Armenia—was taken up during the meeting, Artur Misakyan responded: “Solely the points which ARF introduced were examined.” He added that, in all likelihood, Orinats Yerkir’s next political session will be convened on Saturday.
