YEREVAN. – It is the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) leader and First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan who will decide whether or not the ANC will have a contender in February’s presidential elections, ANC representative, economist Vahagn Khachatryan said during a press conference on Monday.

Khachatryan added that he is not one of those who are enthusiastic about the notion of having a single oppositional candidate for the elections. “I am one those people who favors political competition. But no kind of scenario can be ruled out. I can even tell you that [President] Serzh Sargsyan likewise might not run [for elections],” Vahagn Khachatryan maintained.
