Moscow and Washington failed to agree on situation in Syria, Russian FM Sergey Lavrov said after talks with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“There is no common line yet,” RIA Novosti quotes Lavrov.

The Minister noted that he had not heard from Washington a final answer on the future of settlement of the Syrian crisis. Clinton reiterated implementation of the Geneva agreement coordinated after the meeting of Action Group on Syria, he said, adding that Russia is confident it would not work.

Sergey Lavrov stressed that Syrian opposition’s arrangement to create national committee contradicts the Geneva agreement.
