YEREVAN.- Armenian-Polish relations date back to the Middle Ages and now two countries are cooperating as free independent states, Poland’s Ambassador Zdzislaw Raczynski said speaking about 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

“Partner relations between our states are based on mutual trust,” he told reporters on Wednesday.

As to economic relations, Ambassador said the annual trade turnover reaches 30 million euro, which he considers not satisfactory as no progress is registered.

“The reason is that often goods are transported from Poland to Armenia via Russia, Ukraine and Turkey which hampers turnover growth,” Raczynski said, noting that there is only one Polish company with a turnover of 10 million euro functioning in Armenia.
