YEREVAN.- Poland’s Ambassador to Armenia Zdzislaw Raczynski said unlike Eurasian Union, the EU is a real alliance of 27 countries with a history of 55 years.

Answering to reporter’s remark that Armenia is offered to choose between the EU and Eurasian Union, Raczynski noted that EU is a union with its standards, procedure and mechanisms.

“EU is an international organization of a new type based on shared values. Nowadays the EU is trying to come out of the existing crisis,” he added.

Unlike the EU, Eurasian Union is only a theory, idea or a project, Ambassador stressed. “Can anyone imagine the status of this organization, the leadership or headquarters’ address?”

Zdzislaw Raczynski added there is no contradiction between Armenia’s CSTO membership and cooperation with NATO just as between CIS membership and cooperation with the EU.
