YEREVAN. – The US national currency’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 406.50/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Wednesday.

To note, the stock exchange saw no trading on Tuesday, and the aforesaid exchange rate is a 0.12-percent—or an AMD 0.5—drop from the previous trading session on Monday. 

Wednesday’s sales totaled $5.7 million at the stock exchange. In addition, all 39 transactions at NASDAQ OMX Armenia were conducted with the same exchange rate, but, at the end of the trading session, the dollar was offered at AMD 407.70/$1. 

Most likely, however, Wednesday’s fall in the American currency’s exchange rate in Armenia is only short term.
