YEREVAN. – Culture is one of the most important domains in the interaction between the two countries, Armenia’s Ambassador to Georgia, Hovhannes Manukyan, said during his meeting with Guram Odisharia, the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia.

In his turn, Odisharia underscored all the initiatives that enable the Armenian and Georgian people to get to know one another better. He proposed to encourage in Georgia those projects—specifically, television programs—that were successfully carried out in Armenia, and which will make it possible for Georgia’s citizenry to be better familiar with Armenia and the Armenian culture.

Hovhannes Manukyan and Guram Odisharia discussed the avenues for preserving and restoring Armenian monuments in Georgia and returning them to the Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Armenian MFA informs.

Also, the interlocutors reflected on the draft of the 2013-2015 Cooperation Program between the respective ministries of Armenia and Georgia, the Georgian ministry’s assistance to the Armenian cultural events to be held in Georgia, and the organization of joint events.
