YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan and Consul General of Armenia in Aleppo, Karen Grigoryan—who is in Armenia for a brief period of time—spoke about the key challenges facing the Syrian Armenians and those from among them who have moved to Armenia.    

Hakobyan informed that the Diaspora Ministry is endeavoring to alleviate the problems and concerns of the Armenians of Syria.  

In his turn, Grigoryan asked about the activities of the school—in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan—that provides education in line with Syria’s curriculum, and he conveyed the Syrian Armenian community’s gratification for the setting up of this school.  

The interlocutors discussed the Armenian Government’s decision to exempt from paying state duty those Armenians in Syria who will be issued Rep. of Armenia passports.
