YEREVAN.- There is no prerequisite for the opposition to nominate a single candidate during the 2013 presidential elections, MP from ruling party Artak Zakaryan told reporters on Friday.

He noted that each opposition party has its own interests, even if the alliance is be formed it would be an artificial one.

“I think Prosperous Armenia is in search of scenarios. I think it is natural the party tends to nominating its candidate for the presidential race. Thus, they want to increase the party’s role in the next five years,” said MP from Republican Party of Armenia.

Zakaryan considers Prosperous Armenia is unlikely to nominate its candidate.

“I have no doubt the candidate of the Republican Party of Armenia will win the vote,” he emphasized.

Republican MP did not exclude that Prosperous Armenia may support the incumbent president “for the sake of the Republic of Armenia.”
