YEREVAN. – The total area of the housing fund in Armenia was 92.6 million square meters in 2011, the National Statistical Service informs.

Also, 53.6 percent of the country’s housing fund is in the cities, whereas 46.4 percent is in the villages.

A total of 28.3 square meters of residential area falls for one person in Armenia, and it leads the CIS countries in this regard. 

The world’s leading country is Norway, where 74 square meters of residential area falls for each person. As a rule, more than 30 square meters of residential areas fall for one person in most European countries.
