YEREVAN.- Rector of Turkey’s Kadir Has university does not share the view there is enmity between Armenia and Turkey.

“There is definitely disagreement but I would not call it enmity. The countries are not at war,” Mustafa Aydin told reporters in Yerevan during annual international forum “Dynamics of Regional Security in the South Caucasus.”

Turkish rector shares opinion that enmity between Armenia and Azerbaijan affects relations between Yerevan and Ankara.

Aydin said the border between Armenia and Turkey must be opened and relations normalized, although it would take much time and long talks. He expressed regret about Turkey’s decision to freeze relations with Armenia back in 1993.

The forum is organized by D. Kanayan Institute for National Strategic Studies and Political Science Association of Armenia. The forum brought together regional security experts from the U.S., Turkey, Israel, Armenia, UK and Russia.
