There is no need to change the format of the OSCE Minsk Group, EU Special Representative Philippe Lefort said speaking in the Diplomatic Academy in Baku.
“This issue has not been discussed yet. We don’t intend to change the format, the roles of the OSCE and EU in this issue are different,” APA agency quotes Lefort, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia.
Lefort noted the OSCE is directly engaged in official talks, while the EU supports the establishment of communication between the parties.
“The involvement in process and mutual communication are the main elements for changing the perception of the people of the two sides and can contribute the solution of the conflict. Unfortunately, the mutual relations are not still good.”
