President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso will visit Armenia on Friday to attend the Eastern Partnership summit of the European People’s Party (EPP).

He will hold meetings with high ranking officials, President Serzh Sargsyan, Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan and Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

Barroso also plans to meet with the Armenia’s civil society representatives. The meeting with President Sargsyan will be followed by a press conference.

EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Philippe Lefort will also visit Armenian on Friday.
