Gurgen Nikoghosyan, the president of “Manana Grain” Ltd. company, told Armenian News-NEWS.am, that the company is going to open a grass meal plant in Armenia in 2013. According to him, the performance of the plant will be 1500 kg per hour, the processing capacity - 6000 kg of grass per hour (the flour production by weight will be 25% grass). The factory plans to process mainly cane, although it will be designed for any type of grass.

Preferring not to reveal the amount of investments in the plant and the estimated value of the future product, he said that he plans to offer below the current market price for rough equivalents.

Note, that in 2011 the production of animal feed in Armenia was AMD 518 million worth, which is about seven times the amount in 2010. This was due to the opening of a new feed plant in 2011, which is also owned by “Manana Grain.”
