YEREVAN.- Five crew members of the cargo airplane, which crashed in the Republic of the Congo, are citizens of Armenia.

The report was confirmed for Armenian News-NEWS.am by the spokesperson for the Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan.

Only the head of the crew has been identified, other names are being clarified. Tigran Balayan said the head of the crew was Varazdat Balasanyan.  

The cargo plane crashed into a residential area in Congo-Brazzaville while it was landing. As a result, thirty people died and twenty others suffered injuries. 

The pilots and other crew members were working in Congo-Brazzaville on contractual basis.
