YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Saturday received Moldovan Premier Vlad Filat, who had attended summit of the European Partnership leaders of the European People’s Party (EPP), which was convened Friday in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan.      

Stressing that the establishment of interaction between Armenia and Moldova complies with the interests of both countries and peoples, President Sargsyan and PM Filat noted that there is a huge potential to develop cooperation in several domains, the President’s Press Office informs.  

The interlocutors underscored the need for more frequent mutual visits and contacts and for a more enhanced activity by the Armenian-Moldovan Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. 

Also, Serzh Sargsyan and Vlad Filat stated that cooperation within the framework of Eastern Partnership, and in a variety if international platforms, is a good opportunity for the development of ties between Armenia and Moldova.
