YEREVAN. – Armenian Ambassador to Argentina, Vahagn Melikyan, presented his credentials to Chilean President Sebastián Piñera Echenique on Wednesday.
During the meeting that following the official presentation ceremony, the interlocutors discussed the bilateral ties between both countries, MFA press service informed.
Ambassador Melikyan presented Armenia’s economic situation, investment opportunities, and the cooperation domains that represent a mutual interest. Underscoring the need to increase mutual visits and the activities toward improving the bilateral legal and contractual framework, the ambassador noted that through joint efforts it will be possible to raise the relations to a new level. Also, Vahagn Melikyan reflected on the efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
In his turn, President Piñera Echenique stressed Chile’s readiness to develop ties with Armenia and assured that the respective steps will be taken.
At the end of the meeting, the Chilean leader conveyed his warm greetings to Armenia’s President.
