YEREVAN. – The Armenian community of Boston organized a classical music concert on December 9, which was devoted to the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s membership in the United Nations (UN).

The event was held at Boston’s Holy Trinity Armenian Church, and the works by renowned Armenian, American and European composers were performed for close to one-thousand listeners that were on hand, MFA press service informs. 

At the end of the concert, Armenia’s Ambassador to UN, Karen Nazaryan, addressed the audience. He Stressed that Armenia’s membership in UN in 1992 was one of the key developments on the road to strengthening the independence of the country. Also, Armenia’s ambassador noted that, by way of its engagement in UN, Armenia manifests its commitment to the preservation of international peace and democratic values. In addition, Ambassador Nazaryan valued the Armenian diaspora’s part in the development of the independence of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
