YEREVAN. – Within the framework of his working visit to the United States, Armenian Premier Tigran Sargsyan on Wednesday met with Governor Deval Patrick of the State of Massachusetts.  

On behalf of Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan, the PM presented the Mkhitar Gosh Medal to the Massachusetts governor, Government press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

Premier Sargsyan extended his thanks to Patrick for his assistance in the construction, in Massachusetts, of the monument in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide. In his turn, the governor asked the PM to convey his words of gratitude to Armenia’s president for awarding him the aforesaid medal.     

The interlocutors discussed the prospects for cooperation, and the governor of Massachusetts appreciated the Armenian community’s role and engagement in this US state.

After this meeting, Tigran Sargsyan visited the Armenian Heritage Park in Boston and placed flowers to the Armenian Genocide Memorial.
