YEREVAN. – A formal writing, which is signed by—opposition bloc Armenian National Congress National Assembly Faction leader—Levon Zurabyan and—former FM and Prosperous Armenia Party MP—Vartan Oskanian, has not been submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office as of Wednesday at 10am, the Prosecutor General’s spokeswoman Sona Truzyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

To the observation that Levon Zurabyan had proposed the Prosecutor’s Office to accept his recent statement as a report with respect to a crime, Truzyan responded: “He is an individual, and the procedure for presenting reports is specified by the Criminal Procedure Code, which does not envision for the reports to be presented by way of the media. Once the report is properly received, it will be processed. And it is their [that is, Zurabyan’s and Oskanian’s] right to petition to either any investigative body, or the Prosecutor’s Office.”

To note, a recording of a private conversation between Levon Zurabyan and Vartan Oskanian—during which they were discussing domestic political matters—was posted on YouTube recently, and this had caused a huge public reaction. Incidentally, this recording was removed from YouTube on Tuesday.
