YEREVAN. – Armenia’s First President and parliamentary opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan met on Wednesday with French Ambassador to Armenia Henri Reynaud, ANC press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
As requested by the ambassador, Ter-Petrosyan presented the domestic-political situation in Armenia following the parliamentary elections in May, developments on the upcoming presidential elections and his approaches about them. The first President also touched upon domestic challenges in Armenia, in particular, corruption, lack of democratic freedom, lack of diversity of opinion on TV and economic competition.
The sides discussed Armenian-Turkish relations and Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] peace process as well.
