The MP from Bouches-du-Rhône region Varelie Boyer has presented a new draft on the law on Armenian Genocide denial with a criminal penalty in the National Assembly of France.

The draft, which has been submitted to the chairman of the National Assembly of France on December 19, offers changes in the law on media of 1881, with that defining legal ground against racism and Armenian Genocide denial, Radio Liberty informs.

Varelie Boyer, whose draft law was approved by both chambers of National Assembly of France, but was found anti-constitutional by the Constitutional Council, with her new draft offers one year sentence or 45 thousand Euro fine for denying crimes against humanity, including the Armenian Genocide.
