YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ministry of Economy expects a 9.2 percent industrial growth in 2013, Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan stated during a press conference on Monday.

In his words, this is an ambitious objective, as there are very few countries in the world that expect such high rate of industrial growth.

“Armenia should become an industrial country. The industry’s share in the [country’s] GDP has increased in recent years, and it will reach 20-21 percent in the coming years,” the minister said.

To note, in line with the latest data by the Armenian National Statistical Service, the country’s eleven-month industrial growth constitutes 9.1 percent.
