YEREVAN.- A number of key issues, both regional and bilateral ones, will be discussed during Georgian PM Bidzina Ivanishvili’s upcoming visit to Armenia, political analyst Sergey Minasyan said.
Speaking about Tbilisi’s relations with neighbors after the parliamentary election, Minasyan said relations with Baku had not recently recorded positive dynamics. There is a trend of further development of relations with Yerevan, in the context of smoothing tense relations between Russia and Georgia.
The political analyst also recalled that several Armenian political activists were released under amnesty in Georgia. Breakthrough in the case of Vahagn Chakhalyan is also a message from official Tbilisi addressed to Georgian Armenians and Armenia.
Bidzina Ivanishvili is expected to arrive in Yerevan on Thursday.
