YEREVAN.- Head of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian and chairman of Freedom Party Hrant Bagratyan are the candidates who can become leaders of the opposition camp, political analyst said.
Karen Kocharyan is confident that the political struggle will emerge after the presidential election.
“The post-election period will be much more interesting than the presidential vote itself. The decisive point is whether an oligarchic or political branch of the Republican Party of Armenia will win. The key issue is a foreign policy priority — Eurasian economic union or the EU,” Karen Kocharyan.
Asked about numerous supporters of Prosperous Armenia, the expert said PA cannot be the opposition or even an alternative force.
“Unless the party joins ruling coalition after presidential vote, we can assume it has faced a collapse. If they become the coalition, a part of members will join the power and others will try to join those who will give money,” he said.
