YEREVAN. –Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili visited on Thursday the Memorial to Armenian Genocide victims (Tsitsernakaberd) to lay a wreath at the memorial. Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Vano Vardanyan and director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan accompanied the PM.
The PM however did not enter the museum but instead expressed a wish to plant a fir tree in the ally next to the complex, adding he will arrive in Armenia next time to plant the tree.
The Georgian delegation led by PM Bidzina Ivanishvili arrived in Armenia on Thursday. He was received by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, the PM Tigran Sargsyan and Catholicos of All Armenian Karekin II.
