YEREVAN. – Armenian society is first of all interested in democratic elections, incumbent president and presidential candidate Serzh Sargsyan said.

“We are not accountable to anyone besides our own people. But we are not isolated. We are a part of the world community, thus we must put an end to violations,” he said during a campaign meeting in Armavir Region.

He said Armenia must be a modern country with a modern electoral system. People should understand they are forming the government by their votes.

“The more votes a candidate gets, the more possibilities he will have to carry out reforms,” he added.
