YEREVAN. – According to well-informed sources, Armenian Premier Tigran Sargsyan is unofficially declared “persona non grata” by the Russian Federation government, Zhoghovurd daily’s sources report.

“The cause is his recent interview, where he had spoken against Armenia’s [possible] membership in the Customs Union. Subsequently, the Russian side made it diplomatically clear that it does not wish to receive Armenia’s PM. As a result, Sargsyan’s visit to Moscow is continually delayed.

The Premier, however, denied this news. In response to Zhoghovurd’s query, he said: ‘In my last interview, the outlook of our authorities is presented in more detail and comprehensively. Your assessments are very far from the reality,’” Zhoghovurd writes.
