YEREVAN. – The third public survey, which the Gallup Organization conducted in Armenia, confirmed the results of the previous poll. That is, by nominating their own candidate for the upcoming presidential election, the ruling Republican party and the opposition Heritage Party increased their support base, whereas the Prosperous Armenia Party and the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress lost some of their electorate support, since they do not have their own contender in the current presidential race. Gallup Organization representative, Dr. Rasa Ališauskienė stated this during a press conference on Saturday
She noted that, in the beginning of February, the support toward the large parties remained the same as in mid-January.
Also, Gallup’s third poll confirmed that television remains as the first and the most important source of information for the citizens of Armenia, and it is followed by the “verbal speech” and the Internet.
In addition, ever since the start of the election campaign on January 21, the impact of campaign billboards and pamphlets had grown, as compared to the pre-election season.
