YEREVAN. – The movements that existed in Armenia up to now were a wave, and they are yet to reach their objective, opposition Heritage Party former member Vardan Khachatryan said during a press conference on Friday.   

In his words, following another presidential election, the people stood up yet again, but they would hardly put up with the idea that these movements will continue permanently.

As for the forthcoming mayoral election in capital city Yerevan, the politician said this is the second phase of the battle. He did not rule out that the opposition could run in this vote with joint forces.  

“This is a unique opportunity so that, with collectiveness, we may lead the functions toward an effective result,” Vardan Khachatryan stated.
