YEREVAN. – Former MP of the Armenian parliament from opposition Heritage party Anahit Bakhshyan said March 8 is a day of struggle.

“Today, in fact, is not a holiday, but a day of struggle, this is how I see March 8,” Anahit Bakhshyan said at a rally of supporters of former presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian.

According to her, Armenian women, just as the most of citizens, do not play the role that they must play.

“However, aren’t the women themselves to blame for appearing in such situation? It is not true that men are not allowing us to move forward in different spheres. Sometimes we are afraid to show initiative, we are afraid to resist,” Bakhshyan noted.
