YEREVAN. – The economy of Armenia will be restored and, in 2013, it will pass beyond the pre-crisis level and continue to develop at a steady pace, securing about 5-7 percent annual economic growth, the Finance Ministry’s “Republic of Armenia Long-Term Strategic Development Plan 2012-2025” draft states.

In line with this plan, the GDP per capita in the country will virtually triple in 2025, as compared to 2011, and make up around $10,000.

A 14.1 percent economic drop was recorded in Armenia in 2009 but, subsequently, the economy began to gradually recover, it recorded an average of 3.5-percent growth from 2010 to 2011, and a 7.2-percent rise in the year past.

To note, the aforesaid draft plan aims to replace the sustainable development program, which was adopted before the global economic crisis.
