MOSCOW. – During his talk on Tuesday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan confirmed his invitation to Putin for a visit to Armenia.

Sargsyan recalled that his visit to Russia is his first trip abroad following the presidential election that was held in Armenia on February 18, and noted that this is only natural. 

“Russia is our strategic partner, and this says everything. We have achieved outstanding results in all domains,” Sargsyan stressed in particular, RIA Novosti News Agency of Russia reports.

Also, the Armenian President extended his gratitude to his Russian colleague for, “the progress in the military sector ever since the last meeting.”   

Serzh Sargsyan noted that progress is achieved in economy, as well, and expressed a hope for assistance and support by Russia. 

“I confirm once again my invitation for a state visit to Armenia,” Sargsyan added.
