YEREVAN. – The American national currency’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 414.72/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Thursday; this is a 0.07-percent—or an AMD 0.28—drop from the previous trading session on Wednesday.
It is possible that the dollar’s upward motion in the country was halted by the foreign currency interventions of the Central Bank. It is noteworthy that, at the end of the trading session, the US currency was even offered at AMD 414.5/$1; this is a sign that the dollar will continue losing ground on Friday, too.
Thursday’s sales totaled $6.63 million at the stock exchange.
At the cash foreign currency market of Armenia, the American dollar’s buying and selling exchange rates are at the AMD 413-416/$1 range.
