YEREVAN.- The public opinion poll showed 60% of 1,066 respondents want Taron Margaryan to preserve his post as a mayor of Armenia’s capital. Only one percent wants Raffi Hovannisian to take the post, says survey conducted by the Armenian office of Gallup International Association.

Taron Margaryan is followed by leader of Prosperous Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan (17%) who has no right to run for the mayor as he does not have Yerevan residence. He is followed by former mayor Karen Karapetyan (3%) and ARFD member Armen Rustamyan (2%).

Raffi Hovannisian, deputy chairman of Heritage party Armen Martirosyan and Prosperous Armenia member Gurgen Arsenyan are supported by 1% each.
