YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia on Thursday approved the sample for the country’s national sign; this will be used temporarily, until Armenia’s legislation conforms to that of the European Union.
PM Tigran Sargsyan commissioned to discuss the respective document with the private sector, too, and to determine a reasonable period within which the decision will be applied, so that the use of the national sign does not come as surprise to the beneficiaries.
The Armenian national sign consists of three letters, “HTK,” and it is placed inside an oval frame. “HTK” are the Armenian-language initials for “Technical Regulation of Armenia.”
If the EU directives are implemented in full, Armenia’s producers will have the right to use the CE label that is accepted in the European Union.
