YEREVAN. - The behavior of Armenian police is unacceptable and against the law, the opposition leader, former presidential candidate, leader of “Heritage” party Raffi Hovannisian said this Thursday, commenting on the events of the afternoon, when he was trying to install a tent on the Liberty Square.

“During all these months, the struggle against the police has been peaceful and I will never allow a clash. When the Police Chief Vova Gasparyan’s conscience tortures him, let him order the police install a tent. I don’t want it anymore,” Hovannisian said.

Note that the Ombudsman of Armenia Karen Andreasyan has issued a statement saying that not allowing citizen Raffi Hovannisian to install that one tent on the Liberty Square is a violation of his human rights.
