YEREVAN. – A brothel is not being built, instead of the hotel to be constructed in the place of the Armenian MFA building—that is, Government of Armenia Building No.2, where the country’s Foreign Affairs, Energy and Natural Resources, and Territorial Administration Ministries currently function—, that such fuss is made. Capital city Yerevan Council’s ruling Republican Party Faction member, architect Levon Igityan stated this during a press conference on Friday, and added that there is nothing perilous in this undertaking.
Igityan said he likewise would be among the protesters in solely one case:
“If the appearance of the building is changed. I saw the plan of the new building; it is a brilliant plan, and I know what we will gain there. There are technical and security requirements for such administration, which are not ensured there.”
The architect expressed a view that the aforesaid building was not envisioned for MFA.
“As for the fact that they are building a hotel [there], now, a hotel is not a brothel. Why is it that when every time saying a hotel they imagine something else?” Levon Igityan asked.
