YEREVAN. – Armenian analyst Sergey Galoyan suspects Georgian PM Bidzina Ivanishvili of having ties with the criminal world. Galoyan expressed such view during a press conference on Monday.

He noted that Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili “had declared a moratorium with respect to the ‘thieves-in-law,’ [and] as a result, the latter sought not to visit Georgia. But now, when Ivanishvili has come to power, the situation is likely to change. The thieves-in-law will return to Georgia,” Galoyan stated. He also noted that the Georgian PM is a millionaire and, as a rule, millionaires have ties with the criminal world.

But the analyst added that Bidzina Ivanishvili is connected to the criminal world to the extent that many other millionaires could have such ties.

“I do not have specific data,” Sergey Galoyan stated.
