YEREVAN.- It is necessary to file a note to the OSCE Minsk Group regarding Azerbaijan’s acknowledgment that they organized Khojaly events.

This is the best opportunity to reveal Baku’s true face, head of Armenian Democratic party Aram Sargsyan said commenting on recent interview of the first Azerbaijani President Ayaz Mutalibov.

According to him, in 1995 the Azeris admitted they lost the war, but heir president asked not to demand recognition of independence Karabakh.

“Then they realized they had lost the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and the liberated territories. Now they are convinced that they will return everything,” Sargsyan said.

In his interview Mutalibov said the 1992 Khojaly events were organized against him and pursued the goal to make him step down.

“We need to conduct a proactive policy. The man himself gave us the facts, we can not ignore them,” he said commenting on the interview. 

Aram Sargsyan is confident it is necessary to change the entire political line of the Karabakh peace process.

“We have to show what real Azerbaijan is,” he emphasized.
