YEREVAN. – The top three names in the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) list, for the forthcoming capital city Yerevan Council election, are known; the list will be led by former Yerevan Mayor Vahagn Khachatryan. ANC member, People’s Power initiative leader Zoya Tadevosyan confirmed this information to Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

Tadevosyan also confirmed the information that she is second in this list, and the third is ANC spokesperson Arman Musinyan.    

Even though just a few days are left until the lists are submitted to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the political parties of Armenia are not in a hurry and no one has yet submitted a list to CEC.   

To note, the Yerevan Council election is slated for May 5, and the political forces will vie for 62 Council seats. The parties may submit their lists between March 11 and Thursday, and these lists will be registered from Thursday to March 31. The election campaign will kick off on April 7 and come to an end on May 3. May 4 is a no-campaign day. The Yerevan Council election will be held with proportional lists only.
