NKR Parliament altered election-law

At the 10^th plenary session NKR Parliament approved the bill on “Altering and amending NKR Election code.”

The draft was introduced by head of Central Election Commission Sergey Nasibyan, NKR National Assembly press service informed NEWS.am. According to him, following the first reading discussions eight offers were received, over most of them consensus was achieved.

According to the draft, those willing to run for the proportional election system should deposit electoral fee of 500-fold of minimum salary, and the parties – coming in blocks – 350-fold (previous rate was 250). Candidates for deputy through majority system have to pay a 100-fold minimum salary against previous 50.
