Gas rate to be declared on Feb.26

On February 26 the new gas price will be available to public. That day RA Public Services Regulatory Commission will convene a meeting and present the body’s stance on gas supply rate change.

On January 27, HayRusgasart appealed to the commission offering to set gas rate at 136 AMD instead of 96 AMD for 1m³ starting April 1, 2010. That is level up the rate by 40% having average citizen will buy 100m³ at $360, whereas Armenia purchases gas from Russia at $180 starting April 1.

For large consumers the rate will rise by 19% for 1m³ reaching 99 AMD against previous 65 AMD.
