YEREVAN.- Head of Armenian National Congress faction Levon Zurabyan is unwilling to speak about Raffi Hovannisian’s struggle, or the April 9 events of Hovannisian’s trip to Moscow.

Asked by the reporters to comment on the mentioned issues, Zurabyan said he considers it inexpedient to express opinion on some issues.

“The target of our criticism is the authorities. Let’s criticize them,” he said, adding that criticism against opposition is senseless.

He restated ANC party’s readiness to form a coalition and struggle against the ruling regime along with other opposition political forces.

The result of joint political struggle will be visible before, during and after the election to Yerevan Council.

Six political parties and one bloc have submitted formal applications to run in the Yerevan Council elections. The latter are slated for May 5, and the participating political forces will vie for 65 Council seats. The election campaign will come to an end on May 3. The Yerevan Council election will be held with proportional lists only.
