YEREVAN.- Acting Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian refused to comment on rumors about his future career in the post of the foreign minister.

“If you mean rumors spread by the newspapers, I do not think they are worth commenting,” he said during a joint press conference with Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland. Nalbandian’s response came in response to a question whether he met with president and got an offer to continue his job.

Pursuant to the Constitution of Armenia, Armenian government resigned following inauguration of the president. Appointment of new ministers is being discussed. Edward Nalbandian has been in office since 2008. Earlier he worked as Armenia’s Ambassador to France.
