YEREVAN.- Total corruption remains one of the most important challenges for the Council of Europe, Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland said during the Wednesday press conference in Yerevan.
Among the important challenges the organization is faced with are trafficking, tax evasion and trans-border crime.
“These are real threats shaking the faith of citizens in the political and public institutions. Threats to the security of Europe are inside, not outside,” he said.
Among other problems are protection of minorities, the fight against xenophobia, hate speech and violence.
